My Story

The web and I go back. Like, back to the mid-90’s.

Before I even considered building websites for a living, I was learning the ins-and-outs of HTML XHTML and CSS, helping my friends and family publish websites on Geocities or make their MySpace pages “pop”.

But at the time, my heart belonged to art and design. I had goals of starting my own surf/skate clothing company, or at least working for one. So I went to school, learned some design, took some art classes, and graduated with an BFA.

But rather pursue the design world, I was captivated by code. By this time, Flash and ActionScript was taking the web by storm and everyone was creating Flash websites within an 800×600 pixel container! So that’s what I learned – AS2 (ActionScript 2). But then Steve Jobs came out with the iPhone and that basically killed Flash!

That’s about the time when I discovered WordPress and PHP and well, the rest is history.
